Seek to enhance soil health and fertility through biological amendments of treated compost, microbial inoculants and cover crop rotation.

Water use efficiency through precision drip irrigation monitoring systems and practices.
Fertilization strategies driven by soil, water and tissue sampling.

Trace Back
Gem-Pack takes great care in cultivating the healthiest, tastiest berries that consumers can have confidence were grown with the prioritization of food safety and sustainability at the forefront of our practices. Trace Back technology is one of our investments that enhances our food safety net with an on line, electronic system that links each berry purchase back to the field of origin.
Each consumer unit is tagged with an encoded sticker that reveals the date picked, grower, ranch, field, variety and crew. The units are scanned during harvest and the scanned data is uploaded into a data base where it is immediately accessible & viewable on line, making every consumer unit completely trackable from field to consumer. Virtually anyone with access to a computer can track product back to its source giving real time information on the berries, as well as assurance of an accurate and rapid response system to any product concerns.
